The package will be delivered to the receiver with the enclosed return shipping documents. The receiver can return the packages with the already prepared document and drop off at any FedEx center.
This service eliminates delay, the hassle and no cost to the receiver returning the parcel back to Nigeria. This service is applicable to deliveries to schools and embassies outside Nigeria.
Service details: Prior to shipping of the package. All return shipping document will be prepared with the sender and receiver’s address information. INTERNATIONAL DIRECT DISTRIBUTION
An innovative service, that helps you manage your supply chain by sending consolidated shipments. We clear your shipment through customs as a single entry with a single commercial invoice, and then deliver to individual recipients or to the addresses you’ve specified within Nigeria.
Service details: packages delivery days will require an additional 1 day to the transit time. There is no limit to total shipment weight; however, a shipment can consist of loose pieces or packages up to 150 lbs. (68 kg) and large pieces or skidded packages of 151 lbs. (69 kg) or more, with a maximum piece or skid weight of 2,200 lbs. (1,000 kg). Prior approval is required to ship skids or pieces exceeding these limits.
To lessen the possibility of damage or delay, follow these packaging guidelines when preparing your express freight shipment.
- Individual pieces over 150 lbs must be banded to the pallet with either metal strapping or unbreakable plastic straps applied around the box or skid freight on all sides.
- Hardened containers (plywood, metal) that are not banded must have an exterior lock or clamp (glue, nails and screws are not sufficient).
INTERNATIONAL REPAIR AND RETURN
FedEx provides import clearance processing for international express package and international express freight shipments which require machines or parts of machine to be transported out of the country for repairs and would be returned to Nigeria.
FedEx may charge an ancillary clearance service fee, where applicable on international shipments for clearance processing, for services requested by the shipper, recipient or importer of record, or to recover the costs passed to FedEx by the regulatory agency for regulatory filing. Ancillary clearance service fees that are invoiced are described on a separate line item on the duty-and-tax invoice.
Service details: To lessen the possibility of delay, we will take care of the necessary documents (re-importation certificate), service fee might apply. When package is being returned to the country after repairs, it will be exempted from customs duty.
